About Me:

I worked in Homicide until a mistake during a spinal surgery left me without the use of my legs for quite some time. I was told I wouldn't walk, could never work, and would lose my legs before 40. About to give up, AFI's video Love Like Winter showed up on MTV. The second I heard the lyrics "here it's December, every day," I connected on some ethereal level and I was hooked. I bought all of their music off itunes, and was able to work through my own fear, pain, angst, through their music. Literally, Davey screamed in pain for me when I was too weak. Jade's music and guitar pulled emotions out that needed to surface before I could heal. Adam's drumming could suck me in and transport me to a different world, and Hunter, Hunter is just perfection. Intelligent, funny, talented perfection. I fought, and happy to note I am walking on my own. By looking at me you would never guess where I have been the last few years, THANKFULLY!

My degrees are in Criminal and Forensic Psychology, and Religious Studies. Truly studying religion gave me an entirely new viewpoint on organized religion than previously. Don't accept your core values on what you think you are supposed to, or what people tell you to. Research for yourself, find your own personal convictions, and the answers may shock you.

Interests:

Egyptology, Archaeology, Religious Studies (all Religions)and the Esoteric, I am a jewelry artist who worked in Homicide.

Favorite Music:

I still and will always listen to those that influenced me growing up. The Cure, The Smiths, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, 80's electronic. AFI has my heart forever! Their music helped me get out of a really dark place, a wheel chair to be exact. I literally taught myself to walk with them in my IPOD.

Favorite Movies:

Old Hollywood 30's-40's, Old musicals, yes I am a dork! Shawshank Redemption, The Count of Monte Christo, Shindler's List, mostly things that take me in so I can lose myself

Favorite TV Shows:

X-Files, Ghost Hunters, Destination Truth, I don't watch any major network shows so I never know what anyone is talking about.

Favorite Books:

I LOVE to read, do it too much probably. Mostly non-fiction, I love a good Biography or Auto Biography, I just read Louise Brooks' Bio and it was AMAZING! Classic Lit and poetry, I miss being in College because of the required reading actually!
